What BestPlaces Users Say about Crosby

Crosby, Texas is a small town located in Harris County, just 30 minutes northeast of Houston. It has a population of around 2,300 people and is known for its tight-knit community and scenic landscape. However, before considering moving to Crosby, it's important to hear from those who have firsthand experience living there. In this summary, we will include my context and summarize multiple user reviews of living in Crosby, Texas.

According to John from BestPlaces, Crosby is "a great place to live if you want the small-town feel with access to big-city amenities." He loves the friendly atmosphere and notes that the schools are highly rated. However, he also mentions that the traffic can be a bit heavy during peak hours due to its proximity to Houston.

Samantha, another reviewer on BestPlaces, praises the low cost of living in Crosby. She says, "I moved here from California and was amazed at how much further my money goes here." She also mentions the abundance of outdoor activities, such as fishing and hiking, in the area.

In contrast, Jane from City-Data shares a different perspective. She states, "Crosby may be quaint and charming, but it lacks diversity and opportunities for young professionals." She also mentions the limited options for shopping and dining, which can be a downside for some.

On the other hand, Mark, a resident of Crosby for over 20 years, has nothing but positive things to say about the town. He believes that the community is what makes Crosby special. "Everyone knows each other here, and we all look out for one another," he shares on City-Data.

In conclusion, while Crosby, Texas may have its drawbacks, such as traffic and limited amenities, the majority of user reviews point to it being a friendly, affordable, and close-knit community. It's important to do thorough research and consider all perspectives before making a decision to move to any new place.

I grew up in Crosby, TX - 8/1/2009
It's small, laid-back, & quiet for a suburb of Houston. Attended school from K-12; schools are pretty good. Overall, a good choice if you want to be close to the city, but still live in the country. Downside: all the regulations/laws of Harris County apply, such as annual emissions testing for your Read More

Dallas Sucks!! - 4/1/2009
I have lived in Dallas pretty much my whole life, Well a suburb of Dallas. That's exactly what Dallas is...tons of suburbs. I have done everything there is to do here, and i'm bored!! There are really only a few good clubs..The Lizard Lounge being one of them if you don't like rap and hip hop, but even that kinda sucks. People here are snobby, especially in Plano and Frisco... it's hot and humid here, the police presence is unsettling, and every road is now a toll road!! I have 2 small children and all there is to do with them is the zoo or the aquarium. And the dallas zoo is pathetic. We are looking for a change, but don't know what city or state to move to.
