Water quality - 12/10/2008
I disagree with the rating of water in Magna - water in Utah in general needs to be filtered. Magna water comes from two wells which are very chlorinated. In the winter when water use is lower, the water is drinkable. In the summer it tastes awful.
If you freeze a bottle of water from just about anyplace in Utah and then let it thaw as you would if taking it on a hike, the water is so salty it's as though you'd added a teaspoon of salt to it before freezing.
