Finding Community in Newfane, Vermont - 8/2/2022
We moved to South Newfane, Vermont along the Rock River 10 years ago from the California Bay Area and have never looked back. All four seasons are beautiful, our favorites are Spring when things come alive and Fall for the colors.
People ask us why we moved to Newfane, and we say “the people . . . and the water; people are so friendly and helpful and there are so many different kinds of folks.
There are many artists and frequent community events including plays, Bingo, talent shows and concerts in Newfane and surrounding towns of Dummerston, Dover, Putney and Wilmington.
A small local hospital is nearby and a larger one less than 30 minutes away.
Although we’re in the country isn’t only 20 minutes to Mt Snow for skiing and to Brattleboro for movies and entertainment. We’re 45 minutes from Keene, NH, an hour and 15 to the MGM casino in Springfield, MA, 3 hours to Burlington and just 5 hours to Montreal. Airports near us are In Hartford, CT, Albany, NY, Read More
