What BestPlaces Users Say about Fife

Fife, Washington is a small city located in Pierce County, just minutes away from Tacoma. It has a population of around 10,000 residents and is known for its affordable housing and proximity to major cities. With such a unique mix of suburban and city life, many people have shared their experiences living in Fife on the website BestPlaces.net. Let's take a look at some user reviews to get a better understanding of what life is like in this particular place.

According to user "John S.", who has lived in Fife for over 10 years, it is a great place for families with children. He says, "Fife has a small-town feel with big-city amenities. There are great schools and plenty of outdoor activities for kids. The community is tight-knit and friendly, making it a safe and welcoming place to raise a family."

On the other hand, "Samantha L." shares a different perspective. She moved to Fife from a larger city and finds the lack of diversity and cultural activities to be a downside. She says, "As someone who enjoys a diverse and bustling city, Fife can feel a bit too quiet and homogenous for me. However, it is a peaceful and clean place to live, which I appreciate."

User "Mark T." has only been living in Fife for a few months but is already loving it. He says, "The cost of living here is much more affordable compared to Seattle or other major cities. And the location is perfect for commuting to work. I would highly recommend Fife to anyone looking for a quiet and affordable place to call home."

However, not all reviews are positive. "Emily R." has been living in Fife for over 20 years and has seen the changes in the city. She says, "Fife used to be a small, tight-knit community but has now become overcrowded and traffic has become a nightmare. Additionally, the cost of living has risen significantly over the years, making it less affordable for long-time residents."

In conclusion, Fife, Washington seems to have a lot to offer for families and those looking for a quiet and affordable place to live. However, it may not be the best fit for those seeking a more diverse and culturally rich community. Overall, the reviews show a mix of positive and negative experiences, highlighting the importance of personal preferences and priorities when it comes to choosing a place to live.

Fife is a NW paradise! - 8/30/2020
This small suburb of Tacoma checks all the boxes for me, so where do I start?
Fife has a bit of everything for every walk of life and virtually any activity you wish to explore.
For the fisherman, the crystalline blue waters of the Puyallup River hold a bounty which is second to none. Freshwater ling cod, sturgeon, native brown and rainbow trout, as well as a variety of coho, chinook, and pink salmon are in such abundance, you may bring your children with you, and they will have the fight and time of their lives with continuous fishing action. What a place to let them learn how to angle, as as well as soak in the smells and picturesque Northwest! A little hint for those interested: Camp and fish under the Lincoln or Ells Street bridge for some shelter privacy and fishing holes which will astound the most adept and seasoned fisherman. If you enjoy small stream fishing, stake out Swan Creek in Fife. You may access this all-native trout fishery off of River Rd. East. It's Read More
