Washington is a state in the Pacific Northwest known for its beautiful landscapes and vibrant cities. One of its cities, Sumner, has a population of around 10,000 and is located just 30 minutes from Seattle. This quaint town has a small-town charm with easy access to urban amenities. It's no wonder that many people are considering moving to Sumner. To get a better idea of what living in Sumner is like, let's take a look at some user reviews from BestPlaces.net.

From user "Rachel S.", we get a glimpse of Sumner's community aspect, as she writes, "Sumner is a small, close-knit community where everyone knows your name and is always willing to lend a helping hand." Another user, "Mark D.", echoes this sentiment by saying, "This is a lovely small town with a strong sense of community and pride in its history." The sense of community in Sumner is a major positive for many residents.

However, not all reviews are glowing. "Samantha R." shares her experience with the cost of living in Sumner, stating, "The housing market is expensive, and property taxes are high. It can be tough to afford living here." Similarly, user "John T." notes the limited job opportunities in Sumner, saying, "Unless you have a job lined up or work remotely, it can be tough to find employment in this area." These reviews highlight some potential drawbacks of living in Sumner.

Overall, the majority of reviews on BestPlaces.net are positive, with users praising Sumner for its friendly community, beautiful surroundings, and easy access to nearby big cities. However, it's important to take into consideration the potential challenges of living in this town, such as the cost of living and job opportunities. Ultimately, it seems that Sumner offers a unique mix of small-town charm and urban convenience, making it a desirable place to live for many.

The Little Gem of the Evergreen State - 11/5/2008
Sumner is a wonderfully small but growing community nestled in the a beautiful and fertile valley of Western Washington. Only minutes from the major cities, the small town feel of this charming and peaceful little city is very carefully preserved and maintained. In the heart of the city's down town area, we have a charming and cozy library, one stop shop grocery store, restaurants and quaint little shops lining Main street. Here it feels a bit like stepping back in time. You can have lunch or dinner at a fifties diner with hand cut fries and then stroll along the broad sidewalks and window shop among some local artisans and antique shops.

Excercise is encouraged with a bike trail running through the towns main road all the way through to the town of orting where there is a scenic bike trail. The weather in Sumner is graced with mizzle (that's Washington state talk for a mixture of mist and drizzling rain!) frequently which I find refreshing and cleansing. Read More
