The Good:
Everything you need to live is here, including raising a family, safety, and cleanliness.
Moderate 4 season, Mild consistency in weather.
Opportunities for fun, outdoors, and exercise is endless.
The Bad:
Not the best restaurants, nor the worst in the us.
High cost of living for rent, mortgage, etc.
Limited employment base, limited consistent employment base
Worst schools, including colleges in the us. this includes lowest grad rate.
The Ugly:
60 percent mormon, which creeps into politics.
Politics is obsessive republican statewide, which has pluses and minuses
Boise is somewhat blue, but not very open to the gay, minority, or womens rights
If you have money and move here you will be sucked dry, if you dont have money you will end up leaving, and if you make money you wont have very much for very long.
