I have Lived In the Clearfield Area for 37 years it has its ups and downs like many places for starters you must be willing to commute approx. 30-60 min. for a job that pays a decent wage unless you are OK with living off of a salary of under 30K a lot of unemployment here but with the economy I think that is every where as far as weather goes if you love seasons this is the place for you we have some really cold months (JAN-FEB) and some really warm Months (Mid June-Mid August) Temps Range from 100 in the Summer with high Humidity to Minus 10 in the winter although these temps Never seem to last to long there are some mild winters and some not so mild winters I have seen everything from 36" snow storms to winters where the ground barely gets covered with Snow if you love the Mountains and hiking and dont mind Driving up to an Hour for work and Entertainment then this is your place it is very quite here with your typical small town charm and problems there seems to be a lot of Drugs for such a small town but also most likely in most other small towns across the country the hunting here has greatly declined in the past decade Schools are not the greatest but not the worst either there is one movie theater one drive in that is open in the summer one "Super center" and that pretty much sums it up
