Review of Mosier, Oregon

Heavenly
Star Rating - 1/14/2019
Mosier is a fabulous small town. We are between two very different towns on the Columbia River. Go east to The Dalles if you’re in the mood for a more Western/Agricultural/blue collar vibe (not to mention the wonderful Klindt’s Bookstore, Oregon’s oldest bookstore.). Or travel 5 miles west to the vibrant town of Hood River.
Hood River is where residents and visitors go for kite boarding, windsurfing, and great dining. The downtown area is full of great independent shops and cafes. From there you are minutes from orchards (pears, peaches, apples) and thirty minutes from hiking and skiing on Mt.Hood.
We enjoy lots of great biking and hiking in the areas immediately surrounding Mosier. We have our own tiny beach for windsurfing and kite boarding. Spring and summer bring an amazing kaleidoscope of wildflowers.
We have our own micro farmers market in the summer, a great cafe, and a very well regarded charter school.
We have also been very happy with the excellent medical services here.
Living on acreage just outside of city limits for 20 years, we’ve enjoyed the wildlife and a view of Mt.Hood.
