Climate The calendar truly follows the seasons in the Kansas City area. There are four season. On December 21, it feels like winter; spring shows up promptly in late March. It is humid in July and August, but the summers (after Arizona) are comfortable. December through February is cold, but not that cold (after Minnesota).
