Living in Hackensack, NJ Hackensack has a big city feel but on a smaller scale-there are restaurants, shops to fit every lifestyle and taste. There are some negatives too. High property taxes- $5,008.00 per year on a condo- high cost of living- too crowded and congested- long commute times.
