By the Liberty Harbor marina in Jersey City NJ Streets are safe in the local area, though there are less safe areas within 5 blocks. Good food, many nationalities, we are renting a condo at the end of Marin Blvd just by Liberty Harbor. The ferries (NY Waterway) make it easy and pleasant to get to the city and we have a light rail and a subway style train that also make transportation convenient. Highly recommend for singles and families.
