Losing its charm Mount Pleasant and the surrounding Charleston area has changed drastically over the years. Entirely too many people have moved here and cost of living is skyrocketing. Wages are far below what you need to survive. The only people that can afford to live here are doctors, lawyers and trust fund babies. Traffic is very bad and there is a lot of people road raging. There's essentially nothing to do here that doesn't involve copious amounts of alcohol.
