El Cajon Weather I have lived here in El Cajon for the past five years and I would say that the averages are inaccurate or at least it seems that way in the past five years I could probably count the number of times it has rained on my ten fingers. We are in a serious drought right now to the point people can only water thier lawns during certain times and on certain days. It is very hot here July-Oct with it getting to above 100 around mid July there is alot of sun but sometimes its so hot you cant go outside to enjoy it. Most houses here have swimming pools for that reason. The cost of living here is considerably less than in San Diego city and it is just ten minutes away from there if you move here make sure you have an air conditioner in your apartment or house. The rest of the year the weather is pretty mild although the nights can be a bit cool.
