Summary of Hermosa Beach My wife and I have lived in Hermosa for two and half years with our two daughters ages six and two. Here is a list of the pros and cons of Hermosa. Pros: Weather is nearly perfect year round (if you like the sun/70 degrees) Schools are about as good as it gets for California Families are on the rise Most everything is within walking distance Cons: Lots of tourists, which means you must always keep an eye on your kids/important things Very expensive housing/cost of living!!! Most parents are older (40 years plus with new borns or pregnant) Nearly everyone has a nanny b/c most moms can't handle raising own children Meter/Permit parking almost everywhere No yards or they are very very rare Lots and lots of superficial people Not a good place for dogs Everyone is always busy and/or in a hurry, life goes by pretty fast here
