Great place for a family! Not for a single male in I am a single male in his 20's who moved here for work. I bought a nice 4 bedroom house for dirt cheap. Unfortunately I'm not sure if that was the right move. Nightlife dies down at around midnight and there isn't many opportunities to meet new people in my age group. Fortunately, Downtown and Broadripple is just a half hours drive away, but all there is to do there is get drunk. The schools are great. The crime in minimal. Everybody is friendly and nice. Every kid seems to have something to do with sports. There are signs everywhere above garages with names of kids and what sports they are in. You know a city is up and coming when there are 2 Walmarts in it. More and more stores and restaurants are popping up. New housing additions are everywhere. They are trying to build a "downtown" Fishers area currently. That might help attract the younger crowd. I'm currently trying to move to a bigger city (not "Nap Town") with more things to do and that is more cultured. I can see coming back here when I'm ready to settle down and start a family.
