hard city to live in the cost of living is high. we are at the mercy of the local only market. most people travel 81 miles to ridgecrest,ca for much better prices and walmart. even with the gas prices, its still cheaper to travel for supplies. i've been in this town for 17 years. the only thing wonderful about it is the scenery and the wide open spaces out of the immediate town.we look up at mt. whitney everyday. its truly beautiful, but the towns people are very hateful. you have to adapt to what they want from you or else. too bad, its really a great place to live in such a crime infested world.
