not for retirees The community is far from friendly and very trashy. Village government is twisted with an even more bizarre police department. Locals remind you "NM is a buyer beware state" if you take issue with the junk cars or livestock next door to you!! Nearest health facility--well went to ER there and no one even bothered to wash hands before treating an open wound!!! Service prices are meant for the rich who have second and third million dollar homes in Ruidoso. Once you buy property here--don't expect to be able to sell it.
