Rodgers in Canaan Twp.
Greetings.I've been searching for the longest time now for connections with descendants of Thompson Rodgers,who lived with his family in Canaan Twp. in 1860.(Census).Near Tea,it is said,but in Canaan Twp.I find no further reference to his wife,Nancy Crowe Rodgers or infant daughters Jane and Julia(dubbed Fanny and Jenny) after this 1860 census.Joseph Anthony and Alfred Lindsey Rodgers(my g-grandfather) are accounted for.Family legend says Bushwhackers killed them when the house was burned down about 1863.Thompson had an earlier family with Claressa Hodges.She died about 1850,before he married Nancy in 1851 in Franklin Co.I don't know exactly when he moved to Gasconade Co.If you descend from Mary Elizabeth Rodgers,William Goolsbury Rodgers,George Travis Rodgers,Charles Thompson Rodgers (Thompson Jr.),Joseph Anthony Rodgers,Alfred Lindsey Rodgers,and of course,Jane(Fanny)Rodgers and Julia (Jenny)Rodgers,please contact me with all dispatch.Any aid you give me is already appreciated.Stan Radell email: norfdak101@yahoo.com
