Quality of Life Newport, VT is a good little town to live in. You feel safe walking around town most all of the time. Crime is usually petty or non-violent. My biggest complaint is having to travel at least an hour to get to a department store and two hours to get to a mall. If you're looking to raise a family this is not a bad place to be.
