Mayberry in Marin
Ross is a small, very safe town (own police department) in the SF Bay Area. Housing in very expensive. It is very family oriented. Much of the social life is focused around the schools (Ross School and The Branson School), two churches (St. Johns and St. Anselms), Ross Commons (dog park and baseball/soccer/lacrosse fields), etc. While no Floyd the barber, there are 4 hair salons as well as a nail salon. There are two good restaurants and a wonderful bike shop. On the weekends it is not unusual to see 200-300+ bicyclists per day.
