COMMENT
Extreme growth has been good but very stressful
I've lived here since 2011. There are a lot of things I like about the city, but extreme growth has made it exhausting to live here.
BIGGEST PROS:
- Brand new stores, restaurants, and entertainment venues everywhere
- Busy downtown square with many shops, restaurants, music venues
- Several large parks with forested and non-forested trails
- Youthful energy and vitality
- Large weekly community market and annual festivals
BIGGEST CONS:
- Constant road accidents, red-light-running, and major gridlock
- 1+ hr commutes to Fort Worth, Dallas, and/or McKinney
- The entire town is under construction which is constantly changing
- Poor air quality in the summer
- Seems like lots of anxiety, depression, alcoholism, and substance abuse
