Beaufort winter reverie
The other poster is correct, outdoor activities do slow down in the coastal winters, but the social scene stays warm with house parties, bridge, Scrabble, pot lucks, concerts, plays, and gatherings at restaurants and pubs.
Some residents actually prefer the cozy interior Beaufort winters compared to the more bustling and crowded summers. More time to create art and writing, more time for friendly gatherings; time to try out new recipes.
