Extremely Poor Quality of Life
Waldorf has suffered from runnaway growth and poorly planned development. The town is a traffic nighmare and an eyesore. There is nothing but strip malls and traffic lights for miles and miles. Furthermore, as stated in a recent article in the Washington Post, the stores in Waldorf carry only the lowest quality merchandise - think dollar store quality. So, despite the miles and miles of strip malls, residents must travel outside the county to purchase acceptable quality goods. Finally, to top it all off - there has been a dramatic increase in the number of violent crimes committed in Waldorf. If you plan to live in Waldorf, you'll need to purchase an alarm system and lock your doors at night. I recently moved away and my stress level has decreased dramatically while my sense of happiness and well being has increased significantly.
