Tarboro, please don't waste your time!!!
There is nothing here. Nothing for kids to do, nothing for adults to do. The schools are terrible. Your kids will not have a chance in life if they go to Tarboro city schools. The police harrass everyone. Teenagers can't even walk down the street without being stopped and searched for no reason. My 15 year old son has been "talked to" by the town cops over 24 times in the last 2 years and has not been charged with any offenses because he has not done anything wrong. They just like to harrass. My husband was given a traffic ticket and the cop didn't even see him do anything wrong, someone called the cop and told him. The cop called my husband to the police station and questioned him. My husband told the truth, got the ticket and then was told by the officer that it was called in, not seen by the cop. They Tarboro Police will use any lies to get what they want. BEWARE OF THIS SMALL TOWN!! There are gangs here, and the police are one of the gangs. Actually, the police are more dangerous than the other gangs. They are above the law.
The cost of living is high, the taxes are way too high,etc.
