Frisco Texas I'm also very sad to hear someone complain they felt put upon by the schools in Frisco. I would initially be inclined to assume it is either paranoia or overly sensitive kids who maybe don't have very thick skins? The world is a rough place and indeed most other places are MUCH rougher than the Frisco schools in my humble opinion. Sheltered children might do well to get their feet wet outside of the isolated realms from which the LDS folks originate and learn that water does in fact roll readily from a ducks back. I've raised and put four kids through the Frisco schools over 15 years. My youngest is 18 and just started college now. I assume LDS is a reference to Mormon Christians? I do recall the influx of Mormons which occurred perhaps five or six years ago around the same time they built the new Mormon and Lutheran churches on Coit road. While I expect all children are prone to treat any new and different children as outsiders initially, that is almost always honest harmless feelings which children tend not to suppress. My four children never once mentioned the LDS kids nor were there ever any incidents nor references made to them as being an issue of any sort. Like myself all of my children were taught to not judge others until their actions have allowed them to judge themselves. The state of Texas may frown upon LDS policies of allowing multiple wives but I am of the opinion that I do not care what other people do in the privacy of their own homes (almost never care what they do outside their homes either) so long as it does not hurt or impact me and mine. We've lived prior to moving to Texas in 1982 in Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania and have relatives in every corner of the nation. I have not heard of nor found a better school district or better place to live affordably, safely and with an excellent quality of life and living standard than Frisco, Texas. Recent developments in Frisco, TX which may eventually be an issue include the general increase in crime in surrounding areas which has not yet impacted Frisco too much - just a slight increase in property crime but still well below the national average in overall crime. Rather than add more cops budgets have them instead sadly adding traffic cameras which are in most peoples opinion unconstitutional and should be banned by the supreme court in my opinion. The only downside according to Sperlings is the air quality which I admit has gone downhill from various causes cement plant and perhaps the battery plant to the west. Everything else remains outstanding and above excellent including some of the finest services (Police Fire Schools Library etc) you will ever find ANYWHERE!
