not like it used to be.
newton is not like it used to be. i grew up in newton and moved away for a long time. i moved back, and even though some of the small town charm is still here. i've noticed an influx in crime. the drugs are out of control in this town. i have not read in the paper of any huge drug arrests like i used to. i've read a lot of robberies in the paper. more than i ever remember. i've read about violent crimes, maybe i used to read some, but it seems weekly these crimes are happening in this quaint little town. i no longer feel safe to live here, and i will not raise children in or near this town. it's sad because i loved newton my entire life, but i dont recognize it anymore. it no longer feels like my home.
