Oro Valley is so much less than advertised Some of these reviews are so inaccurate. Rentals for a 2-bedroom are closer to $1000/mo and up if you want to live in a safer neighborhood. People here are so intolerant and unfriendly. The climate is really nice but the people make it a really unpleasant place to live. I know many couples who are moving back to cold climates because they are so unhappy in Oro Valley. The quality of housing is poor... ostentatious layouts but poor quality construction, not designed for the climate. Licensed contractors are also untrained and dishonest... the licensing procedure does not include a proficiency test. Shockingly provincial. You will end up buying everything on the internet if you move here.
