Oto, IA is a small town in southwestern Iowa with a population of 84 residents. Its population density is 381 people per square mile, which is significantly lower than the US population density of 93 people per square mile. Despite its small size, Oto has a lot to offer visitors and locals alike. A great spot for shopping is Dornick Market, an all-in-one grocery store that offers fresh produce, meats, snacks and more. The town also has several parks where year-round outdoor activities such as camping, fishing and hiking can be enjoyed. Furthermore, there are several organizations such as the Oto Community Club and the Oto Volunteer Fire Department that help promote a sense of community within the town. Lastly, Oto’s annual Sportsman’s Festival in July is a fun event for families to enjoy local sporting events such as cornhole tournaments or 3D archery competitions.
