South Windham is a small town in Maine with a population of 990, making it one of the smallest towns in the state. Despite its size, South Windham has plenty to do and see. There are several local businesses including The Dunkin' Donuts in the village center, and Goggin's Country Store where locals can buy their groceries. Outdoor activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and mountain biking can be enjoyed year-round on the many trails throughout the area. For those interested in art, there is the South Windham Arts Council which organizes events year round such as concerts and other cultural activities. Every summer, residents often come together for an annual 5K run held at the Fielder Memorial Park as part of the South Windham Community Races series. Sports are also popular with local teams playing at the South Windham Little League Field throughout spring and summer months.
