Gilbert, SD is a small town with a population of only 14 people. It's located just outside of Sioux Falls and has plenty to offer in terms of year-round outdoor activities. In the summertime, visitors can take advantage of fishing, hunting, boating, or camping at the nearby lakes or parks. During winter months there are plenty of snowmobiling opportunities throughout the area.
Local businesses include Jack’s Body Shop which offers automotive repair services and Buddy’s Bar & Grill where folks can enjoy delicious food and drinks while watching their favorite sporting events on the big screen TVs. Also in Gilbert is a local grocery store for picking up all the essentials as well as a post office for mailing needs.
Outside of shopping and dining options, Gilbert also hosts several organizations that promote community involvement including Gilbert Garden Club which encourages citizen involvement in beautifying local neighborhoods through gardening activities and tree planting initiatives, the Gilbert Historical Society which helps preserve regional history by offering educational tours and lectures about local history, and several sports clubs such as Little League baseball teams during spring and summer months for kids to have fun and stay active.
