Ropesville, TX is a small town in Hockley County with a population of around 600 people. While the town may be small, there are several local religious congregations that call Ropesville home. First and foremost is St. John’s Catholic Church which was founded in 1910 and has been faithfully serving the community since its establishment. This church also offers weekly Mass for all who wish to attend as well as special events throughout the year like Christmas pageants, Lenten retreats, and Easter egg hunts. Other churches include First Baptist Church of Ropesville which was established in 1922 and is currently home to around 200 members, United Methodist Church of Ropesville which was founded in 1933 and serves as a center for spiritual growth for many families, and New Hope Fellowship which is a non-denominational church that provides Bible studies, worship services and outreach programs throughout the year. All of these churches serve their own unique purposes but all strive to provide comfort and guidance to the members of the community regardless of their beliefs or backgrounds.
