Elim, AK Schools

Elim, Alaska is home to many schools that serve the local community. The most prominent is Elim Elementary and High School, which serves grades K-12 and has an excellent rating from the state education department. The school focuses on providing a comprehensive education that includes classes in math, science, language arts, social studies, physical education, art and music. It also offers extracurricular activities such as student government and clubs for students interested in a range of topics including sports, drama and more. In addition to Elim Elementary and High School, there are two private schools in the area: Arctic Light Academy and Bering Strait Native Corporation School. Arctic Light Academy provides a Christian-based education for students from kindergarten through grade 12 while Bering Strait Native Corporation School offers culturally-relevant learning opportunities for students of Indigenous heritage. All three schools provide a positive learning environment for their students and offer a variety of resources to help them reach their potential.
