Greenland, Arkansas is a small town located in West Fork Township in Washington County. The town has a population of 1,978 inhabitants according to the most recent census. Despite its small size, the town participates in local politics and elections. Greenland has a mayor who is responsible for legislative and executive duties such as enforcing laws, approving budget decisions, and appointing committees. In addition to the mayor, there are seven city council members who serve four-year terms to make sure that city ordinances are enforced.
