Levant, Maine is a small town located in Penobscot County. The local government consists of a three-person Board of Selectmen who are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the town. Each member is elected to a two-year term and holds office until the next election. In addition to the Selectmen, Levant also has an appointed Town Manager responsible for overseeing all town operations as well as Town Clerk responsible for managing all records related to vital statistics such as births, deaths, marriages, etc.
