Algonac, MI is a small city located in the south-eastern region of Michigan. Politically, Algonac is part of the St. Clair County district and represented by three county commissioners at both the state and national levels. At the local level, Algonac residents elect their own City Council members who serve four-year terms. This Council has oversight over policy decisions related to zoning, infrastructure and public safety projects that affect the day-to-day lives of citizens. In addition to these elected officials, Algonac also has a mayor who serves as a liaison between Council members and other government entities.
