Kerkhoven township is located in the state of Minnesota, and is a small rural community with a population of just over 4,000 people. The town is served by two local political organizations, the Kerkhoven Township Board and the Kerkhoven City Council. Both of these organizations are responsible for providing services to residents, such as roads repairs, police protection, public transit and other municipal services. They also oversee laws related to zoning and land use within the township. The city council is made up of seven members who are elected by the citizens every four years while the board consists of five members who are appointed by the mayor.
