Plymouth, MN is a vibrant city located in the Twin Cities Metropolitan area of Minnesota. It boasts a diverse population of over 75,000 citizens and is known for its lively downtown area and beautiful parks and nature trails. Politically, Plymouth is part of Hennepin County which has traditionally leaned Democratic in local elections. As such, most of the local political candidates running for office in 2020 are Democrats or affiliated with the Democratic party. Plymouth has two state representatives from District 45A and one state senator from District 45 who are all Democrats. The city also elects six members to serve on their City Council.
