Tintah, MN is a small rural town located in the western part of Minnesota. The town has a local government that implements and enforces laws and regulations for the community. The Town Council is responsible for overseeing all municipal departments such as public safety, public works, parks and recreation, library services, and economic development. In addition to these departments, Tintah also has its own mayor who is elected every four years by the citizens of Tintah. The Town Council and Mayor work together to ensure decisions are made in the best interest of the citizens of Tintah. Local elections are held periodically to elect new town council members or mayors if any incumbents choose not to run for re-election. Candidates for local office must meet certain eligibility requirements in order to be on the ballot in any given election year.
