Nederland, TX is a small city located in the southeastern region of Texas. The city has a rich history and is home to an active political scene. Nederland has a mayor-council form of government with five members elected to serve as council members. Elections for mayor and council members are held annually by popular vote. The current mayor is Don Albanese, who was elected in 2020 and is currently serving his third term. The council consists of five members, each representing one of the city's five wards: South, North, West, Central, and East. They oversee the operations of all local government agencies within Nederland and strive to ensure that all citizens have access to quality public services while simultaneously promoting economic development in the community. Additionally, Nederland operates under a Home Rule Charter which allows for greater autonomy from state government regulations than other cities in Texas do. Through its local political leaders and processes, Nederland works hard to ensure that its citizens can live safe and prosperous lives in their beloved city.

R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
