Taycheedah, WI is a small town in Fond du Lac County with a population of 2,427. The town is governed by an elected Board of Supervisors and the Mayor. The board consists of seven members, each representing one of the seven wards that make up Taycheedah. Elections are held every two years to elect new representatives to the board. Each representative serves for four years before being up for re-election or replaced by a new candidate.
The current mayor is Gary Bartels who was first elected in 2017 and again in 2019. He has been involved in local politics since 2004 when he was first elected supervisor of Ward 2 after serving on the planning commission for several years prior. Mayor Bartels continues to be active in Taycheedah's local politics and works hard to ensure that residents have their voices heard on important issues affecting the town.

Here at BestPlaces, we were looking at the voting patterns since the 2000 election and realized that we could express the results of each election as one letter. R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
