The board consists of seven members, each representing one of the seven wards that make up Taycheedah. Elections are held every two years to elect new representatives to the board. Each representative serves for four years before being up for re-election or replaced by a new candidate.
The current mayor is Gary Bartels who was first elected in 2017 and again in 2019.
