Carroll County, Iowa is located in the beautiful rolling hills of the northwest corner of the state. As a rural county with a population of just over 20,000, Carroll has a long history of conservative politics that are reflected in its local government. The county is part of the 4th congressional district and is represented in Congress by Republican Steve King. At the state level, Carroll is represented by Republicans Clel Baudler and Gary Carlson at the House level and Julian Garrett at the Senate. Locally, Carroll County elects three Supervisors to make up their Board of Supervisors who work together to manage and oversee county operations, services and infrastructure. The Board works with local elected officials such as County Auditor, Sheriff and Treasurer to provide residents with a good quality of life. In addition, they work closely with various organizations such as Chambers of Commerce to promote local economic development.
