Anoka County, MN is a vibrant and diverse county located in the Twin Cities metro area. Politically, Anoka County is predominately Democratic with the Democratic-Farmer Labor (DFL) Party being the majority party in the region. The current county commissioners are all Democrats and many of the local state representatives and senators also belong to the DFL. The county has long been a stronghold for progressive ideals, although there are some independent voices heard throughout the county.
