Each commissioner serves a two-year term and is elected by the people of their district. The commission works closely with the county attorney, sheriff, assessor/clerk and recorder, public administrator and other elected officials to provide services for their constituents within the county. The commissioners are responsible for important matters such as budgeting and long-term planning as well as providing oversight on land use and development projects throughout the county.
