Riverside used to be the ideal city to live in

Riverside used to be a nice place to live when I first moved there in 1985. This city is located in a ideal location-- close to the mountains, beaches, lakes, other major cities (LA, OC, SD), etc. It was actually nice until about the mid-90's when the illegal immigrant popular began soaring. There are illegal immigrant workers lining some streets and the poorer immigrants dominate parts of the city. The schools are being overcrowded by the immigrant population. It is getting overcrowded and the traffic is a nightmare. The smog was rated the worst in the nation by MSNBC and I can see how that can be true. Especially during the summer, the sky is literally grayish-brown. One cannot see the grand mountains that are only about 20 miles away.
I really long for the old Riverside. I have now moved on to another city in search of better air and a better quality of life.
