Review of Cottonwood, California

Growing up Country
Star Rating - 12/14/2007
I lived in Cottonwood CA, for about 5 years, and it was a mix of family, close friends, and wide open space. We had snow at times in the Winter, and the Summers may have been hot, but we went tubing down Cottonwood Creek, and that made up for it. I had 13 horses as well, and my friends and I rode quite a bit. The traffic is busy at times, but we also had the chance to go for long walks at night, and had no worries. Mind you this was the 80's, but the last time I was there, not much had changed. The schools are very good, and although I graduated from Red Bluff High School, most of us were very good friends. Cottonwood is a great place to live in between Red Bluff Anderson and Redding if you have a growing family, or if you just want somewhere quiet to settle down. I would also suggest an awesome Restaurant called the Cottonwood Eatery, downtown Cottonwood, for some awesome Ribs, and really tender Steaks. The wine that is made locally, which for wine lovers you'd love the tour, called the Burnsini Vineyards, has a wonderful array of very tasty, and hard to keep in stock wines. You have to order early, they sell out fast! I hope my little review helps anyone looking into moving to Cottonwood, and I hope you at least get the opportunity to visit!
