Review of Folsom, California

Star Rating - 5/15/2007
Mild winters; few frost warnings, fewer freezes. Most rain from January to March; otherwise dry with virtually no rain from May to November. HOT in the summer, 100+ degrees for days at a time. Can also tend to be humid. Worst problem is poor air quality, with more and more "Spare the Air" days every year, during which people are asked not to drive unless necessary and young children, the elderly, and people with respiratory problems are encouraged to stay indoors. Not a place for anyone with asthma, emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis, or other serious, chronic respiratory ailments.
