Review of Temecula, California

Still a great town, but traffic and overbuilding
Star Rating - 9/3/2021
This was where my husband and I grew up and we returned to raise our children there. It was an excellent choice and this is still an ideal place to raise children. The public schools are fantastic, there are tons of activities for kids to participate in and it's close enough to make day trips to the beach or mountains. It's green and well-kept and everyone's perfectly nice. Would I move back? Probably not. Every time we drive into visit the old hometown we hit a wall of traffic on our way in. The last time we went to Old Town it was jam packed with drunken partiers. Don't get me started on the wine tourists. We thought we were dying of boredom back in the olden days, and would have killed for the mall, restaurants, etc. that are available now. Reading about other towns, it seems to be the same old story of wishing things stayed the same as before. I'm glad we found a California town to live in now that's similar to Temecula of the 70's and 80's, but that's just me.
