Great place - 6/11/2007

Overall, Fargo is a very nice place, but the downtown and Island Park are my favorite parts of the city. For its size, Fargo's downtown has a lot to offer and there are more things opening all of the time. The newer sections of the city around West Acres are not very appealing, but as someone who loves old neighborhoods, I'm a bit biased. The newer sections are really not any worse or better than any other suburban area. The more established areas of the city are quite charming, quiet and very family oriented.

"culture" - 3/16/2007

in addition to all the economic reasons that make Fargo a phenomenal place to live, there's been a recent revitalization of the downtown area which has included the addition of art galleries/museums, fine dining, a world class hotel, a fun night scene, and some greatshopping. (if only there was parking to keep up with the cars) i'm always blown away when i hear fargo residents say "there's nothing to do." i find so much to do in this community, i have a hard time choosing between the endless options. if you find a night in town when there's not a concert, a reading, a show, or some event happening here, i'd be surprised.

Great - 3/16/2007

Born and raised here, Fargo's great. Great people, good job opportunities, safe schools. NDSU has done great things for Fargo. The city is really committed to the constant improvement of the community.

Quality of Life - 1/28/2007

The quality of life in Fargo, ND is the best. Low crime, one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation, good schools, low cost of living and affordable housing. The winters can get long and very cold, but the past few winters have been pretty mild.

Good & Bad in Fargo - 5/18/2006

Fargo is a great place to live in many respects, but the major drawbacks here are the weather, which is horrible. Also, flying in and out of Fargo is expensive & time consuming. If you are taking a vacation, expect to spend your whole first day just traveling to your destination. Same with the last day of your vacation, you will spend all day and most of the night flying or at an airport waiting for a flight home.

Fargo is a great place to live! - 5/6/2006

Fargo is a great city to live in. Not only is the cost of living super cheap, it's an all-around great community! Don't let the stigma of North Dakota fool you...it's not winter all year here, and we have all of the modern amenities of any other city. I have talked to people who actually thought Native Americans still live in tee-pees here!!!! Fargo is a great place to raise a family also...great schools, very low crime rate, and lots of activites for all ages. I highly suggest Fargo as a place to make your home!

Fargo is a great community all around. Not only is the cost of living super cheap, but there are plenty of things to do here. Don't let the stigma of North Dakota get to you...it's not winter all year, and we have all of the modern amenities any other city would have! I have talked to people who thought we still have Native Americans living in teepees here...WOW!!! Fargo is a great place to raise a family too...schools are great, crime rate is very low, and there are plenty of activities to involve yourself in. I have lived here most of my life, and I hope to raise my family here too.

Super low cost of living - 4/14/2006

I have lived in a number of communities, and Fargo by far has the lowest cost of living. Although I will say that there really isn't much to do here, so you end up spending the money you save to keep the boredom level down.

Fargo is a "best place" - 7/8/2005

I have lived on my own in grand forks ND, fargo ND, duluth MN and minneopolis MN and now I am about to return to fargo, I am 21 and love big city life and alot of action and I never thought I would say fargo can give me more then mlps could. I can make more in mlps but I lose alot of time driving and commuting but if fargo I can get out any night of the week with vary little hassle and there is plenty going on and as a dog owner I cant stand working a hour away from home(only a few miles) I would recomend this hidden town to anybody, its definetly a town on the grow with 13 new people moving in everyday and big business always moving it it offers many jobs and good income rates compared to most citys and the cost of rentals and owning is spectacular.
