My husband and I moved here in Nov. 2007 and we have never looked back. We love it here! This area is beautiful in nature. The climate is great, crime is low in comparison to metro areas, schools here are top notch, and people are friendly. There are a lot of things to do here in the area. Not everyone is going to like Rogers, AR and that is okay. If you have visited here, thanks for stopping in our Read More

Rogers, AR is located about 4 hours south of Kansas City and is nestled in the Ozarks. The winters are moderate with an average temperature of 40 degrees. There are a couple of snow falls and a bit of ice each season, just enough to keep it interesting. Spring is beautiful, with plenty of rain to fill Beaver Lake and bring out the Dogwoods that flourish here. Summer is comfortable for the most part, rarely reaching 100. There is some humidity, but not like the deep south. Evenings are usually comfortable for outdoor activities, like catching a Naturals game or enjoying an outdoor movie in historic downtown Read More

I have been reading other posts on this website regarding Rogers, AR and as a resident of this city I must say I don't understand where the criticism comes from. Homes in the area are still priced well below the national average, making it a very affordable place to live. A Majority of the residents here have great jobs due to the 50+ fortune 500 companies that have an office presence in Rogers. The World's largest retailer is 5 miles away in bentonville and Tyson foods and JB Hunt are just minutes down the road. Job growth in the past 5 years is 10X the national average! There is also a World trade center here. As for the lack of public transportation, you should check into "Ozark Regional Transit" which is a Public bus line that runs just about anywhere in the 4-city area (Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers-Bentonville) and also to and from the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport. Also, over $250 Million has been spent on road improvements and overpasses in the past 2 years and driving Read More

Quality of life is pretty good. Beaver lake is a very nice lake. If you are into Hunting, Fishing and boating you'll love this place. Otherwise, very rural feel. Locals are very friendly. Crime is going up. Local traffic is insane due to growth and slow building of wider roads. Huge influx of Hispanic immigrants in last 5 years. Housing still reasonable compared to the rest of the country. New Mountain bike park in Bentonville, incl. a jump park-all free-very cool. Rogers is a dry county- so you have to drive to MO or Washington County to buy booze. Restaurants serve alcohol though. Schools are OK- not great, just OK. U of A in Fayetteville is a great school. If you like college sports the Hogs have quite a following. Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art being built in Bentonville. Very hot and humid summer (from June thru August and sometimes all the way into October) limits outdoor activity. Fall is the best time of Read More

This has got to be one of the only places I've ever visited/lived that had NO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AT ALL! Traffic is a nightmare, as these tiny streets can't handle the growth of the area. Thanks to Tyson and Walmart, this area is booming, and the hicks that run the area need to do something about it and not let Walmart pull their strings! Rogers actually has a few sidewalks, but I can't say that about other cities/towns in Benton County. You'd get killed trying to walk or ride a bike on these highways, and there is no kind of bus to speak of. If you are without transportation, I hope for your sake that you live close to wherever you need to Read More
