Review of Rogers, Arkansas

Rogers, AR
Star Rating - 5/8/2007
Quality of life is pretty good. Beaver lake is a very nice lake. If you are into Hunting, Fishing and boating you'll love this place. Otherwise, very rural feel. Locals are very friendly. Crime is going up. Local traffic is insane due to growth and slow building of wider roads. Huge influx of Hispanic immigrants in last 5 years. Housing still reasonable compared to the rest of the country. New Mountain bike park in Bentonville, incl. a jump park-all free-very cool. Rogers is a dry county- so you have to drive to MO or Washington County to buy booze. Restaurants serve alcohol though. Schools are OK- not great, just OK. U of A in Fayetteville is a great school. If you like college sports the Hogs have quite a following. Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art being built in Bentonville. Very hot and humid summer (from June thru August and sometimes all the way into October) limits outdoor activity. Fall is the best time of year.
